Dr. Christine Pieton, PT, DPT, is passionate about empowering her patients to move well and move often. She believes in the importance of helping others to achieve their highest mobility potential in order to participate most fully in their lives. Thus, Christine engages in a collaborative approach with her patients. She works with each person individually to understand their unique goals, aspirations, and current level of function, in order to design a plan of care that will enable them to move with purpose.
Christine specializes in orthopedic and sport-specific conditions with a special emphasis on running related injuries and female pelvic health conditions. Christine’s treatment philosophy involves a holistic approach, addressing her patient’s primary complaints, while also evaluating how such conditions impact each person as a whole. The human body is designed to work as an integrated system vs. individual parts. Thus, Christine believes therapeutic interventions need to be addressed as such in order to support her patients on their journey to achieve optimal movement performance and decrease risk for injury.
"Christine is by far the best physical therapist I have ever worked with. She never lets up, never gives up and best of all is my greatest champion. With her help I have regained great range of motion in a knee that has been through several surgeries. I have recommended her to several of my friends and family."
“Christine has been my physical therapist for a couple of years now and has helped me to prepare and recover from a knee replacement surgery as well as manage chronic back pain and prepare for a major back surgery. It was a blessing to find someone that is extremely knowledgeable and intelligent in her field, very empathetic and compassionate, committed to positive outcomes for the patients that she treats, and frankly is a pleasure to be around. Christine's approach to thoroughly understand my needs and expectations before creating a therapy plan made a significant difference in my preparation and recovery. She would listen to feedback and make alterations as needed to ensure that I had a reasonable exercise regimen that I could also perform while traveling. Her pleasant demeanor made me look forward to PT sessions rather than dread these visits. I highly recommend Christine for your physical therapy needs.”
“Christine has guided my recovery through two different injuries, knee and shoulder. Christine was able to rehab my knee to normalcy, but after some time with my shoulder, she told me that I was not responding appropriately to therapy and recommended that I see my doctor for further evaluation. She was right that I had a more serious problem going on and needed surgery. Post surgery, I went through rehabilitation with Christine and now have normal shoulder function. I was particularly impressed with Christine’s talent at targeting/adapting the rehabilitation rather than just applying boilerplate principals. In the case of my shoulder, I also appreciated that she did not waste time in Physical Therapy when she became suspicious that fixing the problem may require surgical interventions.”
“I work with Christine for both physical therapy and conditioning. She is simply the greatest! She is professional, conscientious and very pleasant to work with. My body would revolt if I did not have her to take care of my many aches and pains. I recommend her highly.”
“I saw Christine for knee pain. I love to run, and was sad that I couldn’t run as I used to. She listened to me and quickly found the problem, then gave me applicable exercises. I did those exercises, and can now run as far as I wish. Everything was quick and appropriate. I would trust Christine with any physical problem that can be corrected with physical therapy."
“I have been studying Pilates with Christine for nearly two years. I studied with multiple instructors prior to the lucky day I was introduced to Christine! With numerous injuries stemming from my former career as a ballet dancer, it was imperative for me to train with someone who not only teaches Pilates well, but understands how to work around my fragile body. Christine is incredibly thoughtful, resourceful, smart and compassionate. Her classes move seamlessly and are never the same. Every session is well rounded, and no matter what is hurting me that day, she finds a way to create a comprehensive class while working around my injuries. Christine’s studio is quiet and private and the parking is easy. I love that.”
“Christine gave me superb therapy on my hip, thigh and back. She also introduced me to Pilates core work. Additionally she helped me develop bodywork programs I could do on my own. She is terrific! I am exceedingly grateful!”
